This year's recently released Neg Scan was a dark ambient, vaporous hallucination. The Night Scrivener moves away from the ambient nature of the previous albums and presents us with five tracks focused on glitchy tape noise with several shorter tracks ranging from strange vocal manipulations to an acoustic guitar track."
